Two Yoo Project – Sugar Man (Korean: 투유 프로젝트 – 슈가맨) is a 2015 South Korean television program starring various artists. The original 2-episode pilot aired at 22:50 (KST) on Wednesday (August 19 & 26, 2015) under the name Two Yoo Project Searching For Sugar Man (Korean: 투유프로젝트 슈가맨을 찾아서). The regular broadcast of Season 1, hosted by Yoo Jae-suk, You Hee-yeol, Kim Eana and Sandara Park, kicked off beginning October 20, 2015, every Tuesday at 22:50 (KST), ended on July 12, 2016.
Sugar Man is a music show that recalls the nostalgic singers of the old days who still remain in everyone’s heart. The audience communicates with them by listening to their hit songs. It invites the Sugar Men who disappeared after their heyday, finds out the reasons why they disappeared from the K-pop scene, and arranges their hit songs to hold a contest. The hosts and the show men are divided into two teams to have a contest with the reinterpreted versions of their hit songs. The winner is decided by on-spot votes. It aims at communicating with the younger generation who isn’t familiar with the nostalgic singers.
